Every child care provider works hard each day to teach our youngest learners during the most crucial time in their development. Children’s Palace Learning Center, an ELV child care provider in Pueblo West, has made huge strides in providing high quality child care to the children in their community.
Children’s Palace’s Colorado Shines rating speaks volumes about their quality of care. Their Colorado Shines rating is a level 4, with a level 5 being the highest possible score. Additionally, during their licensing visits within the last year, they’ve had 0 violations, which is a tremendous accomplishment.
Children’s Palace is also a part of ELV’s Quality Child Care Partnerships program. In partnership with Early Head Start, this program requires Children’s Palace not only abide by state licensing standards but also Early Head Start standards.
Children’s Palace is continuously overcoming challenges and always looking for ways to increase the quality of their care. A growing problem in the child care industry is staff turnover; however, Children’s Palace continues to overcome this challenge by always making sure they are retaining qualified teachers in their classrooms. In addition to maintaining staff retention, Children’s Palace is currently a finalist for the Early Childhood Health Outdoors (ECHO) Initiative grant from Qualistar. The ECHO Initiative ensures all young children in Colorado have daily access to quality outdoor learning environments.
