Can I send e-mail to parents who are no longer active in my program?

I have a parent who is thinking about re-enrolling and I’d like to reach out to them via e-mail. Can I do that through CORE?

Solution

Yes, you can send an e-mail through CORE to a family who used to be active (status now Inactive) in CORE. Follow the steps below:

1. Log into CORE: https://elv.earlylearningventures.org/elv/login
2. Click on Provider Management (purple navigation pane)
3. Click on Administration tab
4. Click on E-mail Parent(s)/Staff
5. Click Add (at bottom of page)
6. Click drop-down menu on Format: Plain Text is default; HTML allows you to format text
7. Select E-mail from (Provider e-mail address recommended)
8. Click on Parent Recipient > Selected Parents
9. Change Child Status to Inactive
10. Select Parent(s) name you want to send the e-mail
11. Enter Subject – this is what you expect them to see in Subject Line when they receive it
12. Select Upload File Attachment to upload any relevant flyers, newsletters, etc.
13. Create message text in Insert Center Footer text box
14. Click Send (at bottom of page)
