How do parents apply for EHS?

Description

I have a new parent who recently enrolled their child at my program and they would like to apply for Early Head Start to see if they qualify.

Solutions

Parents can apply for EHS online via either their Parent Portal or Parent App account.

Solution 1

1. Direct parents to their Parent Portal account (https://elv.earlylearningventures.org/portal/login)
2. Ensure parents know how to login using their security code and email address
3. Once logged in, direct them to the Parent Portal menu on the left hand side of the screen
4. Have them click on EHS Application
5. Double-click on the child they want to complete the application for
6. This will bring up the application for the parent
7. Have them fill out all required information
8. Submit for review
9. Provider’s assigned EHS Specialist will take it from there and work with the provider accordingly

Solution 2

1. Direct parents to their Parent App account
2. Have them login using their security code and email address
3. Have them tap on Early Head Start Application
4. Tap on the child they want to start an EHS Application for
5. This will bring up the application for the parent on their phone
6. Have them fill out all required information
7. Submit for review
8. Provider’s assigned EHS Specialist will take it from there and work with the provider accordingly
