When parents want to sign in and they both have their own security code (password), how do they get it?
Solutions
There are three different methods that your parents can receive their security codes so they can sign children in/out. 1. Provider appends security code to the email through CORE 2. Primary or Secondary parent can click “Forgot Security Code?” on from the ELV Parent App or 3. Print the Temporary Security Code report and give it to them when they arrive.
Solution 1 – Append Security Code to E-mail
- Log into CORE: https://elv.earlylearningventures.org/elv/login
- Click on Provider Management (purple navigation pane)
- Click on Administration tab
- Click on E-Mail Parent(s)/Staff
- Click Add (bottom of page)
- Fill out all of the information for the header:
NOTES
E-mail From: • Provider = name of FCCH or center • Author = person creating the message
Parent Recipient(s) Select either All Parents or Selected Parents
(*** Make sure you click on Append Kiosk/Portal Credentials in E-Mail) - Click on Add (bottom of page)
Solution 2 – Parent App – Forgot Security Code?
- Parent opens the parent app from parent’s mobile device
- Click on Forgot Your Security Code?
- Enter E-Mail Address and click E-mail Security Code
- Parent checks their email address on file for Security code to sign their child in or out
Solution 3 – Temporary Security Code Report
- Log into CORE: https://elv.earlylearningventures.org/elv/login
- Click on Reports
- Click on Reporting
- Enter “temp” or “temporary” in Report Title filter at the top
- Click Submit
- Double-click on the Temporary Security Code Report
- Click Report
- Open the downloaded report
- Print the Temporary Security Code Report
- Find parent(s) name
- Give the parent their temporary security code
- Parent follows the prompts to change to a permanent code
