Isabel Dickson is the Economic Mobility Program Manager in the Children, Youth and Families Branch at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. In this role, she develops the strategic direction of economic mobility work at CDPHE, identifying and implementing evidence-based strategies to improve the financial well-being of Colorado families. The Economic Mobility program prioritizes strategic state and community partnerships to support economic well-being and improved health outcomes for Colorado families. She has a Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in maternal and child health from the University of Washington.
Today Isabel will be sharing with us some resources on economical support services, specifically tax credits.
It's a particularly exciting year for supportive tax credits in Colorado. There's a new credit in town, the Family Affordability Tax Credit (FATC) which will deliver up to $3,200 per child to low income families in Colorado. Get Ahead CO also has a new tax calculator developed in partnership with Gary Community Ventures, that will allow users to quickly calculate how much in credits they may receive, based on income and dependents.
