#WhatsUpWednesday –with Mile High United Way’s 211 Colorado

Today we are joined by Kim Christensen and Wade Treichler to learn more about 211 Colorado.

Mile High United Way’s 211 Help Center is a confidential and multilingual service connecting people to critical resources across the state, including housing, food, child care and more. No matter where you live in Colorado, you can find information about resources in your local community. In 2024, Mile High United Way’s 211 Help Center connected over 170,000 Coloradans to basic needs resources.

Wade Treichler is Chief Operations Officer at Mile High United Way, where he oversees the Information Technology, Salesforce, Data Integrity, Facilities and 211 teams. During his tenure at Mile High United Way, he has overseen critical projects such as advocacy efforts for 211 funding at the state legislature, the organization’s pandemic response, and technology modernization across the organization. He also recently led the creation of the Tamara M. Sparks Early Learning Center at Mile High United Way, coordinating architectural design, construction and final licensing. Wade also acts as chair of the 211 Collaborative, which oversees 211 operations across the state.

Kim Christensen, a seasoned professional with several years of experience in community crisis response and recovery, serves as the Manager of Disaster Response at Mile High United Way. In this role, she provides strategic leadership in the development, implementation and oversight of disaster response and recovery for Mile High United Way's 211 Help Center and Mile High United Way overall, ensuring effective and timely support for communities impacted by crises. Kim is also responsible for leading business continuity and risk management reviews across Mile High United Way.
