#WhatsUpWednesday with Tami Robare from Ka’Upena Shared Services Alliance in Hawaii

Today we are joined by Tami Robare who is the Ka'Upena Shared Services Coordinator and has been in this role for two years. Tami has worked in the ECE field for many years, working in different environments from preschools to family/child interaction programs, and she has also worked with children with special needs. Tami is a PATCH trainer and works with both family childcare providers and preschool teachers and directors.

The Ka’Upena Shared Services was started in Hawaii about 3-4 years ago and the program has been with PATCH for just over two years. Their goals are to support Hawaii’s child care providers and help take away some of the burden of administrative tasks.

PATCH is the state of Hawaii's Child Care Resources and Referral Agency and works with licensed and registered providers to determine who is still operating and providing care.
