How do I move (transition) child(ren) from one room to another?

Description

I have children transitioning from the toddler classroom to the pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) classroom. How do I move them and do I have to move them individually or can I make a bulk transition?

Solutions

There are two different ways to update the child(ren) room: 1. Child Setup and 2. Child Scheduled Transitions. You can use Child Setup if the change is effective immediately. You can use the Child Scheduled Transitions if the child(ren) are making the transition at a future date.

Solution 1 – Child Setup

1. Log into CORE: https://elv.earlylearningventures.org/elv/login
2. Click on Provider Management
3. Click on Parents and Children tab (top)
4. Click on Child Setup
5. Find the child’s name and double-click on it
6. Click on Assigned Room drop-down menu
7. Select the new room name
8. Click Save

Solution 2 – Child Scheduled Transitions

1. Log into CORE: https://elv.earlylearningventures.org/elv/login
2. Click on Provider Management
3. Click on Parents and Children tab (top)
4. Click on Child Scheduled Transitions
5. Click on Add
6. Select Room Transition from the Transaction Action drop-down menu
7. Select the Current Room (room child is currently assigned)
8. Select child’s name from the Child(ren) drop-down menu
9. Select new room from the Transition to Room drop-down menu
10. Enter the Transition Effective Date
11. Click Save
